In 2005-2007 before Shinobi Ninja, D.A. and I formed a band with rotating members from the pool of musical talent lurking around The Film Center in Times Square. We had no name and no album, we were exploring the musical unknown looking for ourselves.

After 2 weeks of Jamming with my longest music collaborator JR Dunn I had a collection of songs that would become Jonny on the Rocks.

Releasing the single “Papa Shotgun” in 2008 secured an invite to play at the worst SXSW showcase, but it lit a fire and using MySpace I booked a month long tour to Miami and back to NYC through Texas. Here is that story…
